What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimating and Pricing Specialist position at Patriot Machine Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Develop estimating plans, obtain data, and prepare estimates of labor costs for new business opportunities
- Develop the basis of estimate, providing supporting details for the overall effort
- Review engineering data and request for quote documentation to interpret requirements
- Provide decision-making information and recommendations to leadership
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or similar degree
- 3 years of experience in a finance, estimating or related role
- 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel including: Vlookups, Pivot tables, charts, graphs and filters
- Experience supporting the contracting process, including proposal preparation, audit, fact-finding and negotiations a plus
- Must be a US Person
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance post start
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with external customer and across multiple functions including accounting, contracts and technical disciplines
- Ability to proactively apply problem-solving skills
- Works well independently, and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Ability to learn new systems & tools, estimating techniques, and gain program knowledge in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to stay late on a routine basis
