Job Description
As a Wet & Dry Utility Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for wet & sometimes dry utility projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other estimators, suppliers, and customers using our custom software to complete the estimate timely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates for wet & sometimes dry utility projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, suppliers and other team members to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating wet utility projects preferred and/or a degree in related subject (civil engineering, construction management, etc.)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards related to wet (& dry) utilities. *Dry utilities experience, a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team member.
- Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Proficient in ProContractor, Smartsheets and ProCore
- Knowledge of Bluebeam, a plus

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
