We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud technologies, with a focus on AWS, OpenShift, and Linux, and will be proficient in cloud security practices and Python scripting. The Cloud DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our applications.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Deploy and manage applications using OpenShift Container Platform.
Automate cloud infrastructure tasks using Python and other scripting tools.
Implement and maintain cloud security best practices and protocols.
Collaborate with development teams to support continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines.
Monitor and report on system performance and security.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Qualifications :
Extensive experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
Proficient in using OpenShift for container orchestration and management.
Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems and shell scripting.
Expertise in Cloud DevOps practices, including automation, CI / CD, and infrastructure as code.
Knowledgeable in Cloud Security practices and protocols.
Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting tasks.
Experience :
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure design and management.
Proven track record of implementing security measures for cloud environments.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Certifications (Preferred) :
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
Soft Skills :
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Engagement terms :
- Location : Birmingham, AL 35235. (Hybrid role 2 days onsite and 3 days candidates can do REMOTE work)
- Hourly rate on 1099 : $25-30 / hr.
- Candidates should require having a Professional and general liability insurance that is typical of an independent contractor for 1099. It is quite cheap and easy to get this insurance.
- Work Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
- Duration : 1 Year but with the possibility to be extended well beyond that
- Start Date : – ASAP
- Must pass standard background investigation & drug screening
