Need a L2 Desktop Support Technician in Miami, Florida 33101

Client is looking for candidates from financial company background with Financial Tech Environment experience like Bloomberg etc.

Also, experience supporting trading environments / familiar with market data customers.

Project Title : L2 Desktop Support Coverage

Location : Miami, Florida

Scope of Work

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the Level 2 (L2) desktop support coverage services to be provided to the customer. The scope includes, but is not limited to :

  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Citrix remote access methods
  • In-depth problem-solving skills
  • Remote access over VPN
  • MS Excel, MS office suite.
  • Active Directory Password resets, familiar with Active Directory to unlock accounts, network access issues.
  • Basic web access experience
  • Supporting end-users with desktop, laptop, and peripheral troubleshooting.
  • Managing user account setups, password resets, and access issues.
  • Assisting with printer, scanner, and network device configurations.
  • Performing operating system installations, updates, and patches.
  • Ensuring timely ticket resolution and escalation when necessary.
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining detailed service logs.

Levels of experience and skill sets for L2 desktop support engineers :

  • General troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and basic hardware / software support.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, network support, and handling escalations.
  • 6 years of L2 desktop support experience with certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent).
  • Comprehensive IT support, mentoring junior staff, and managing critical incidents.

    • Assumptions

  • The customer will provide access to necessary systems and workspace.
  • Travel and accommodation costs are not included and will be billed separately, if applicable.

    • Exclusions

  • Weekend or holiday support is not included in this agreement.
  • Hardware or software procurement is not included.

    • Emergency or on-call support outside standard hours is not included but can be provided at an adjusted rate.

    Engagement terms :

  • Location : Work will be performed on-site in Miami, Florida 33101.
  • Hourly rate on 1099 : $22-30 / hr. For various level roles.
  • Candidates should require having a Professional and general liability insurance that is typical of an independent contractor for 1099. It is quite cheap and easy to get this insurance.
  • Work Schedule : Coverage will be provided Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, excluding weekends and holidays.
  • Duration : The initial term will last between 3 to 6 months, with the potential for extension based on mutual agreement.
  • Start Date : – ASAP
  • Must pass standard background investigation & drug screening
  • Candidates need to start immediately.
