Knoxville, TN | Product Owner III | Full-time
We are actively recruiting a Product Owner III for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a hybrid direct placement opportunity that will require some onsite work in Knoxville. In this role, you will be the voice of the client, stakeholder, and end user, ensuring alignment on business strategy to be enabled by the product. The successful candidate will establish, document, and maintain the product vision necessary to deliver on the relevant business strategy and resolve any conflict among stakeholders. Will partner with business stakeholders, sharing responsibility for developing a roadmap for the product in line with the product vision and both intermediate and longer-term business objectives. Evaluating and planning for organizational change, driven by execution of the roadmap, is also a responsibility.

Responsibilities:
- Working closely with developers and analysts to create executable stories
- Providing final approval that ensures delivered stories meet user acceptance criteria
- Building and maintaining a prioritized Product Backlog, based on stakeholder feedback
- Participating in all scrum ceremonies
- Building strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Serves as a mentor to others
- Actively participates in the Product Owner Community of Practice meetings; must be capable of leading the meetings
- Be a champion of Agile within the organization
- Independently support multiple teams and multiple projects
Primary Qualifications:
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, IT professionals, and subject matter experts
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical or business experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience with Agile development methodologies or 2 years' experience as a Product Owner
- Experience in Agile product ownership, software development, Scrum, and phases of the project life cycle
- Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications that can be used for development and break down technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by business units and end users
- Build and maintain the Product Backlog of user stories (detailed requirements) and defects. Partner with product stakeholders and business leaders to prioritize user stories
- Ensure product status is communicated
