Summary/Objective: Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a tangible impact? We’re looking for a dedicated Helper/Cleaner/Grinder to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Shop Superintendent, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Get Hands-On: Lift, position, and remove work pieces, and assist in fitting and welding.
Be Precise: Hold tape rods and mark reference points to assist in layout.
Move with Ease: Attach chains and other handling equipment to crane or jib movement materials.
Polish Perfection: Clean buckshot, burrs, and other surface imperfections from fabrication prior to load out.
Keep It Tidy: Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment.
Tool Mastery: Use grinders, scrapers, hammers, and other handheld tools with confidence.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED, or 3 months of training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reading & Math Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Proficiency in basic math.
Problem Solver: Ability to draw and interpret charts and graphs and apply common sense to solve problems.
Independent Worker: Highly motivated and able to work independently.
