Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will assist customers with their inquiries, process transactions, and maintain a welcoming environment in our retail space. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Furthermore, this Counter Sales Representative position will assist the Outside Sales Rep and the Purchasing Manager. They will provide Back-Office and CRM support to those Sales & Purchasing staff members who work in the field generating both sales & savings for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting counter sales transactions, both credit and cash ones
  • Answer phone calls courteously, providing price quotes and other information
  • Provide a high level of customer service with product expertise and excellent selling skills
  • Assist all customers selecting required products & services in a friendly and professional manner
  • Recommend and promote related ‘add-on’ items & services to customers
  • Provide ‘Best in Industry' Customer Service: follow-up on customer orders, resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction, respond timely to customers’ needs
  • Effectively communicate to customers any relevant policies & procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc.
  • Provide Financing Options to customers -- refer to Loan Coordinator for application process
  • Assist customers with loading of merchandise and other needs
  • Effectively work with fellow CSR’s to ensure continuity of customer service
  • Assist in maintaining the appearance & cleanliness of Retail Store: a) keep counter area clean; b) maintain, organize, and stock store shelves; c) ensure merchandise on the floor is presentable including product displays; d) check on status of customer bathroom; etc.
  • Follow company sales policies & procedures, including price/product guidelines and new account installation procedures.
  • Check email and voicemail daily to respond to any time-sensitive messages
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas

Secondary Functions:

  • Communicates a professional look both by the words spoken and attire worn.
  • Effectively work with fellow CSR’s to ensure continuity of customer service
  • Makes calls to existing customers as needed (ensure good customer satisfaction - CRM)
  • Represents Patriot Truck and Trailer Solutions at approved networking & sales events to help promote the company.
  • Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know location of merchandise in Store Front, Warehouse, and, when applicable, in the Yard.
  • Consistent & Timely follow-up with Outside Sales/Purchasing Staff -- provide accurate quotes, inventory confirmation, and estimated Sales Order staging/delivery.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales/Purchasing Staff -- provide timely feedback and Sales Support
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM tool

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, Commercial and Retail Truck Up fitment.
  • Provide Good Customer Service: ability to listen to customer concerns & address their needs.
  • Thorough knowledge of Patriot Truck and Trailer Solutions Products & Services to sell to prospective clients.
  • Outside sales or business development experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly through oral and written communications.
  • Highly detail oriented and organized.
  • Skilled in use of MS Office products and CRM’s.

  • Turns in assignments, reports, timesheets, and deliverables in a timely fashion.
  • Always maintain good relationship with client, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Take care of all company property as if your own (tools, equipment, vehicles, etc.)
  • Keeps accurate records and reports to managers as needed in real time.
  • Be familiar with and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Anything else deemed “necessary” by Senior Management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
