JOB TITLE: Submarine Availability Work Package (AWP) Engineering Technician V.
LOCATION: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME.
SUPPORTING: Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning & Procurement (SUBMEPP) for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
JOB CATEGORY: Full-Time Service Contract Act (SCA).
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
WORK MODEL: Patrona Corporation prioritizes the benefits of flexibility and collaboration, whether that happens in person or remotely. This is an onsite position, and you will work in-person on the customer site.
COMPENSATION: This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position, and the hourly rate and health & welfare benefit is based on the applicable Wage Determination.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or GED equivalent.
- Six (6) years of relevant experience working with submarine maintenance availability or two (2) plus years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree.
- Submarine Maintenance & Availability Planning Programs experience (preferred).
- SUBMEPP’s Maintenance & Ship Work Planning (MSWP) system, reports, and interfaces; and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Word, Outlook, and an intermediate level of understanding in Excel experience (preferred).
- Navy database and system documents/specifications experience (preferred).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting Work Package Managers (WPMs) in validating and processing Advanced Industrial Management (AIM) interface files to external Navy customers.
- Obtaining, analyzing, and processing Deficiency Management Tracking System (DTMS) files from Naval Shipyards, and uploading them into SUBMEPP’s Maintenance & Ship Work Planning (MSWP) system.
- Developing and maintaining platform specific Life Cycle Charts (LCCs).
- Maintaining MSWP Submarine Availability & Milestone System (SAMS) data.
- Provide various M&SWP reports, or other reports as required by SUBMEPP.
