Job Purpose
The Lead Revenue Accountant will oversee revenue arrangements for multiple operating wind and solar projects such as overseeing invoice preparation, billing, and any dispute of invoice. This role ensures analytics and reporting are completed timely and accurately and that any new or changes to the company’s accounting policies are implemented timely and accurately. The incumbent will work closely with the Accounting Managers, Technical Accounting, and other Accountants based in San Francisco and Houston, as well as individuals from other groups such as Asset Management, Legal, Meteorology, and Power Marketing.

Key Accountabilities
- Review or prepare revenue journal entries during the monthly close process and reconciliations of all related accounts
- Review or prepare invoices for offtakers, billing true-ups and dispute
- Perform analytics on revenue results for quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Review or prepare documents for PBC requests and research auditing firms inquires.
- Ensure revenue processes and controls are in compliance with internal controls.
- Other special projects as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, CPA is preferred
- 5 years relevant accounting experience
- Experience in preparation/audit of financial statements and applying internal controls necessary to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leading projects or tasks.
- Experience working in the electric energy industry preferred.
- Experience with or in-depth knowledge of market operations of an ISO or RTO market preferred.
