Your focus will be on construction and land/GIS platforms, as well as other business applications, ensuring seamless integration, efficiency, and alignment with business processes. As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing and supporting enterprise business systems within our organization. Your focus will be on construction and land/GIS platforms, as well as other business applications, ensuring seamless integration, efficiency, and alignment with business processes. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors to implement and maintain these platforms effectively.

Key Accountabilities
- Enterprise Application Management:
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of business applications.
- Implement and support core applications, leveraging expertise in Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC), and Land/GIS.
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, assess upstream/downstream impacts, and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
- Manage application-related incidents and requests, ensuring adherence to IT Service Management SLAs.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
- Diagnose and resolve system errors and user-reported issues.
- Document high-level system architecture and design for both current and future business needs.
- Business Process Alignment:
- Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into effective application configurations and improvements.
- Facilitate discussions with business leaders and process owners to refine problem statements and determine optimal solutions.
- User Support & Training:
- Provide functional and technical support to end users.
- Conduct training sessions and develop documentation to drive user adoption.
- System Integration & Enhancements:
- Ensure data integrity, user access control, and compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
- Configure and manage custom fields, workflows, roles, reports, and dashboards.
- Data Governance & Security:
- Maintain data integrity, user access control, and compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
- Create, customize and manage custom fields, workflows, roles/permissions/user groups, reports, saved searches, dashboards, etc.
- Project Implementation & Change Management:
- Lead application upgrades, migrations, and process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with change management processes for all production changes.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between IT, business users, and external vendors to enhance enterprise applications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute technology roadmaps.
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience).
- 8-15 years in a senior analyst role, subject matter expert in a business segment, or software systems implementation consultant/business analyst with demonstrable experience in SDLC, Agile or relevant application implementation and support frameworks.
- Strong ability to influence and persuade stakeholders regarding application implementation and sustainment.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining business applications.
- Experience working with end-users to resolve technical and functional issues.
- Exposure to cloud migrations, software upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Expertise and experience with business applications in Construction Management, Land/GIS or similar platforms highly preferred reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Collaboration experience with IT teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Experience conducting user training and documentation.
- Demonstrated problem solving and communication abilities, including:
- Translating requirements and facilitating communications between business partners, technical and non-technical team members, both verbally and visually.
- Good judgement, ability to quickly get to the underlying root cause of problems or issues.
- Communicating status and complex subject matter to directors, vice presidents as needed, to provide insight into the current state of the business or project
- Ability to rationalize and recommend optimal configurations and implementation of technology applications and architecture based on enterprise business needs, efficiency and long-range cost effectiveness.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in business-friendly language.
- Multi-cultural and multi-regional experience is highly preferred.
- Renewable energy industry experience is desirable.
- Ability to travel within the U.S. up to 10-20% of time is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Land Management, MIS, IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related).
- Certifications or courses in relevant business applications for the related business segments are preferred assets.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including translating requirements for technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to communicate project status and complex issues to stakeholders.
- Experience leading change initiatives through process- and metrics-based leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing needs.
- Expertise in evaluating and recommending optimal technology applications and architectures.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with business capabilities and technologies.
- Experience in technology areas are an asset but not required, such as:
