What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Software Engineer {Fleet Management} position at Pattern?
Pattern Labs is on a mission to bring predictability and efficiency to the most demanding, fastest paced, dynamic logistics problem of airport operations. We are a venture backed Autonomy/AI Robotics team developing a suite of tools to enhance and improve operations for airports across the country and around the world.
Candidates should be quick learners and ready to contribute broadly across all cloud software aspects. You will be interfacing with customer data streams and coordinating the activities of hundreds of vehicles to facilitate the movement of tens of thousands of deliveries per day. Ideal candidates have experience with complex algorithmic systems at production scale, but aptitude and quick-learning are most important. At Pattern, we value enthusiasm, energy, humility, grit, and a can-do attitude.
About The Role
This is a complex engineering role focused on managing fleets of vehicles to keep material moving around the airport. Candidates should have experience deploying production level cloud software systems with high expectations for reliability and robustness.
An ideal candidate would be someone with 5 years of industry experience in the areas of cloud software development and production deployments, including comprehensive alerting and monitoring systems.
Candidates should be comfortable with Python and any additional experience in either Go or Java would be beneficial.
There is currently a lot of latitude to design, architect, and implement projects with a high degree of personal autonomy. An engineer comfortable with complex systems and algorithmic problem-solving will excel.
About Pattern Labs
The team is nestled in the foothills of Colorado's Rocky Mountains with virtually unlimited frontdoor access to hiking, climbing, mountain biking, snow skiing, camping, trail running, kayaking, craft beer, and incredible food.
We have a flexible, work-from-home friendly, style of operation - but candidates should be willing to relocate to the greater Boulder/Denver area. We are building robots, and interaction with the hardware and in-person testing is a key aspect of all roles.
We offer health benefits and generous PTO packages. Our office is dog friendly, has unlimited snacks & drinks, flexible working hours (get out for the pow day!), and lots of rock climbing & skateboarding.
At Pattern we are committed to being a fun, groundbreaking, and inclusive place to work. We strongly encourage engineers from BIPOC, LGBTQ , and traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
