Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate multidisciplinary plans of care for patients requiring respiratory therapy services.
- Perform resuscitation procedures, including CPR and airway management, as needed.
- Set up and operate mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators, following specified parameters of treatment.
- Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, and consult with physicians if adverse reactions occur.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of Michigan.
- 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
