Job Description
This role requires a highly skilled and motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Breast Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing breast imaging procedures, including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound. Your expertise will ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in our diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform breast imaging procedures, adhering to MQSA and ACR guidelines
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure equipment is within safe limits
- Clinically communicate with patients and loved ones prior to, during, and after procedures
- Review and present completed examinations to radiologists, communicating pertinent data
- Schedule appointments and coordinate exams to ensure seamless patient care
- Assist in departmental workflow management, ensuring timely completion of work assignments
- Order medical supply inventory to optimize cost-effective spending
- Act as a team player, promoting breast health education and supporting organizational events
- Participate in new employee orientation and healthcare professional training
- Maintain CEU credits and CPR certification, upholding industry standards
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Mammography (M) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Computer skills necessary for online learning and policy access
- Working knowledge of English language, including reading, writing, and speaking
