Job Summary
Duties: Perform laboratory analysis on received specimens to provide clinical information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Maintain overall quality, efficiency, and safety in the performance of assigned technical duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow testing procedures and policies by adherence to quality assurance guidelines for equipment and work area.
- Prepare reagents and maintain an adequate supply of materials for test procedures.
- Exercise clinical judgment in assessing priorities and identifying problems to offer solutions to test systems.
- Assist with review and revision of procedures and documentation related to accreditation.
Requirements
- Associate's degree required.
- MLT registry eligible or equivalent required.
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent required within one year of hire.
