We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Patterns LLC in Owosso, MI. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of respiratory therapy services.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. They will also possess a deep understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a variety of clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of multidisciplinary plans of care for patients requiring respiratory therapy services.
- Perform resuscitation procedures, including CPR and airway management, as needed.
- Set up and operate mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators, following specified parameters of treatment.
- Determine requirements for treatment, such as type, method, and duration of therapy, precautions to be taken, and medication and dosages, compatible with physicians' orders.
- Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, and consult with physicians if adverse reactions occur.
