**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
The Radiation Therapist will work closely with medical professionals to follow patient's treatment plans.
Department Overview:
The Radiation Oncology Program is accredited by the American College of Radiology. Our area includes three linear accelerators (including tomotherapy), a CT simulator, a High Dose Rate brachytherapy unit, exam rooms, a patient waiting area, and office space.
The program provides care to cancer patients of all ages who benefit from radiation therapy. Nearly half of all patients treated have breast, lung, or prostate cancer as their primary diagnosis. We treat both ambulatory and inpatient patients, with many requiring intensive monitoring and services.
Sedation and analgesia care are provided as needed.
- External beam radiation therapy with intensive monitoring
- Low and high dose rate brachytherapy
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery
- Total body irradiation
Minimum Qualifications:
A. Education/Certification and Licensure:
- Current Hawaii State license as a Radiation Therapist
- Current certification in CPR at Healthcare Professional level
B. Experience:
- Experience as Radiation Therapist preferred
Typical Physical Demands:
- Essential: standing, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting usual weight of 5 pounds up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling weight up to 10 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions
- Continuous: carrying usual weight of 5 pounds
- Frequent: stooping/bending, gripping of an object for prolonged periods

We operate in a fast-paced environment, exposed to radiation, body fluids, communicable diseases, and mechanical/electrical units.
