Job Description
Essential Functions
Grantmaking and Program Development
Assist the Senior Director of Programs in identifying and assessing potential funding opportunities.
Conduct due diligence on grant applications, including reviewing proposals, budgets, and supporting materials.
Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to the Senior Director of Programs for funding decisions.
Develop and manage grant agreements, ensuring clear objectives, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
Support a pipeline of strategically aligned grants that enables the Foundation to reach annual Charitable Spending Targets.
Grant Monitoring and Evaluation
Monitor the progress and performance of grantees, offering support and guidance as needed.
Conduct site visits and regular check-ins with grantees to assess program implementation and impact.
Review and analyze grantee reports, ensuring compliance with grant agreements and identifying areas for improvement.
Assist in preparing reports and presentations on grant outcomes for the Senior Director of Programs and Board of Directors.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with grantees and internal / external stakeholders.
Serve as a primary contact between the Foundation and grantees, facilitating communication and collaboration.
Represent the Foundation at community meetings, conferences, and public events as needed.
Learning and Development
Stay informed about trends, best practices, and emerging issues in the Foundation's focus areas.
Conduct research and analysis to inform the Foundation's grantmaking strategies and program development.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Operational Support
Assist in the development and management of the program budget.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant activities and outcomes.
Support the Senior Director of Programs in various administrative tasks and special projects as needed
