POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of duties related to the preparation and service of food; cleans kitchen area and cooking utensils.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Is prompt and regular in attendance. Works scheduled hours. Complies with hospital personnel policies.
- Sets up and serves patient trays and performs other duties in accordance with established schedule and procedures.
- Cleans kitchen area and cooking utensils.
- Operates dishwasher to ensure all dishes and utensils are clean.
- Washes, cuts, and otherwise prepares vegetables and other foods according to age restrictions established by the Department of Labor.
- Collects, processes, and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, and similar waste and transports to waste containers outside building.
- Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies within age restrictions established by the Department of Labor.
- Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.
- Attends and participates in department meetings, educational programs and in-services.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
