Location : Conroe, TX
Brief Description :
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and sustainment of MS Directional products and equipment. In this role, the Sr. Mechanical Engineer will focus on improving and developing product designs to meet customer needs, increase performance and reliability, as well as reduce costs.
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Director.
Detailed Description :
- Monitors the external market and is a key supporting team member in the development of disruptive products to enhance the Company's product offering
- Maintains communication with technical staff and field operations to be proactive in identifying performance and failure trends
- Identifies opportunities for technological improvements / modifications to the Company's product line and submits recommendations for sustainable engineering projects and new R&D projects
- Performs design and drafting of new and existing parts / assemblies
- Prepares, checks, and maintains engineering documentation
- Performs engineering calculations and simulations
- Participates in R&D projects by conducting tests / experiments, collecting information, and analyzing results
- Provides technical input related to products and performance, both internally and externally
- Supports and collaborates with other departments within the organization

This job requires the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines and maintain a calm and professional demeanor when adversity is encountered. It also requires the physical ability to work in an office environment including the ability to sit for long periods of time while performing office or computer tasks as well as interact in a manufacturing shop environment. The job may require some overtime. All applicants must be able to commit to a full-time schedule.
