Local interior design firm is looking for an Inventory Specialist / Administrative Assistant to join our team! This is a full-time job opportunity in the Baton Rouge area. This position is responsible for all aspects of the inventory management and administrative duties for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Entry of inventory into POS system
- Overseeing inventory receipts and damages
- Accurately tagging items
- Coordinate/Assist in annual physical inventory
- Creating quotes and invoices into POS Software
- Accepting payments from customers & documenting in POS system
- Ordering merchandise from vendors
- File claims with vendors for damaged items
- Answering phones and greeting customers as needed
- Assisting with administrative tasks
- Create content & manage the business’s Instagram/Facebook
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or at least 2 years of work experience in inventory control / management
- Experience using POS systems
- Retail or Interior Design experience is a plus!
- Excellent accuracy in data entry and attention to detail
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and social skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
