Parts Attendant
Location: Clayton, Iowa
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $19.50/hour starting wage (Increases based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6am -4pm
Position Summary
Pattison Company is seeking a Parts Attendant to support our operations by receiving, storing, and distributing materials across multiple departments. This role is critical to maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse, ensuring that materials and tools are readily available for production and maintenance teams. Parts Attendants must be detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with strong computer and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming materials and parts according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system.
- Use the purchase order system to verify quantities received, compare against orders, and close out completed transactions.
- Organize, monitor, and control warehouse inventory, including tools and critical spare parts.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Ensure all deliveries are properly stored in designated locations.
- Update inventory levels in the system as materials are received.
- Help develop and maintain critical parts lists for assets and ongoing projects.
- Assist in analyzing purchase patterns and identifying areas for improvement in part quality and procurement efficiency.
- Communicate with Purchasing Agents regarding discrepancies between ordered and received quantities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts as needed.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Commitment to safety for oneself and others.
- Willingness to work any assigned shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for 6-12 hours on uneven sandy/rocky surfaces.
- Ability to sit for up to 6 hours while operating equipment or vehicles.
- Lift 60-80 lbs. without mechanical assistance.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Comfortable working in damp, dimly lit, and confined spaces.
Education & Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Certifications & Licenses
- MSHA Part 48 certification required (Training available on-site).
- Valid driver’s license required for this position
