Patton, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager - Logistics to oversee multiple functions within our Operations department. This role involves managing the transportation and storage of raw materials and finished goods, vendor selection and negotiation, distribution of raw materials and supplies within the plant, inventory control, and all other facets of shipping, receiving, and logistics (inbound and outbound). The successful candidate will lead and direct a team of hourly associates and/or salaried materials professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Using software systems to track inventory and manage stock levels.
- Supervising warehouse staff and ensuring efficient warehouse operations
- Manage the transportation and storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Select and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply chain operations.
- Oversee the distribution of raw materials and supplies within the plant.
- Maintain inventory control and ensure accuracy through cycle count programs.
- Manage all aspects of shipping, receiving, and logistics, including inbound and outbound operations.
- Lead and direct a team of hourly associates and/or salaried materials professionals.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and provide training regarding lift operations.
- Implement and maintain Lean Concepts and continual improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate carrier contracts and freight rates.
- Handle import/export issues, including duties, taxes (including VAT), and customs clearance.
- Utilize APS and Material Planning systems effectively.
- Maintain strong communication and analytical skills to support operations.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing-related logistics field.
- Extensive experience with international transportation.
- Proficiency in Lean Concepts and continual improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of APS and Material Planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in negotiating carrier contracts and freight rates.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations, including duties, taxes (including VAT), and customs clearance.
- Experience managing inventory accuracy and cycle count programs within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising or managing employees.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and training regarding lift operations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
