Position: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Contract
Rate Range- $35-$40/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, Education, Geographic Location, and other factors)
Candidates MUST be LOCAL to Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using services like EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, and more.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Automate cloud infrastructure and application deployments using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild).
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application performance using Amazon CloudWatch.
- Implement and maintain security best practices within the AWS environment, including IAM, security groups, and network access control lists (NACLs).
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment and scalability.
- Manage and maintain containerized applications using Amazon ECS or EKS.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system availability.
- Document cloud infrastructure configurations and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience working with AWS cloud services.
- Proficiency in using AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS).
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Skills:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with serverless architectures.
