We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team in Daytona Beach, FL. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that all projects are accurately estimated, cost-effective, and aligned with client expectations.
Position Overview:
The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure that all aspects of a project are covered and that the estimates provided are precise and comprehensive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify project scope and specifications.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment from project plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of all estimates and related documentation for future reference.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, or similar).
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing estimates.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
