Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.
- The E-Sports Coach is responsible for recruitment, fund-raising, program development, practice preparation, scheduling of games, game day coaching, and all associated travel.
- Recruiting duties include: scouting, identifying and recommended student athletes in such a manner that encourages diversity, while maintaining a competitive team.
- Rules compliance duties include: manages the E-Sports program in full compliance with NJCAA, Paul D. Camp Community College and the Athletics Department policies and procedures.
- Available for frequent evening and weekend games and practices.
- Ability to use sound judgement and critical thinking skills when determining students’ needs.
- Ability to relate to potential students with diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to interact with faculty and staff as it relates to student academic needs.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
- Knowledgeable about collegiate E-sports trends and gaming equipment, experienced in coaching or demonstrating gaming skills and strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of competitive, online PC gaming across multiple platforms.
- Ability to design and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy.
- Knowledge in fund-raising and recruiting.
- Valid driver’s license and use of a personal automobile, with the ability to be insured to drive college vehicles.
- Prior competitive E-sports coaching experience.
- A proven record in successful student-athlete recruitment.
- Experience in sustainable fund-raising efforts.
