Job Overview
As a Project Manager, you will oversee restoration and mitigation projects from start to finish. This includes inspection, documentation, estimation, communication with clients and adjusters, managing subcontractors, material ordering, and ensuring compliance with insurance, environmental, and industry standards.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Due to the emergency nature of the industry, hours are unstructured—losses occur day and night, requiring immediate response. This is a high-intensity but rewarding role within a start-up-like environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site visits to communicate with the customer, assess damages, and create scope of work
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using industry-standard software
- Maintain detailed mitigation records and compliance documentation
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and profitability
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Order materials and coordinate subcontractor schedules
- Ensure compliance with IICRC, environmental, and insurance standards
- Generate reports and track job progress
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Familiarity with restoration/construction project management software
- Deep knowledge of construction materials and assemblies, drying science, microbial growth, and insurance processes.
- Experience working on insurance-paid projects
- Clean criminal and civil background check (insurance compliance requirement)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to wear many hats, adapt quickly, and problem-solve in high-pressure situations
PREFERRED:
- 3 years in the restoration, remediation, or mitigation industry (or a similar industry like construction management) preferred
