Carpenter
43,000 - $56,000 per year depending on experience
21.00 - $27.00 per hour!
The Carpenter is primarily responsible for completing residential and commercial repair jobs that are assigned by the Project Managers of the reconstruction department. This role must complete all repairs within the time frame of the job and within industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and / or moldComplete assigned repair jobs for residential and commercial properties using a punch listComplete work orders as given by reconstruction departmentCommunicate job progress with Estimators, Project Directors, Production Manager and / or CoordinatorsDemolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power toolsComplete measurements and calculate size and amount of material needed on assigned jobsMeasure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to meet the job needsConstruct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials on assigned jobsInspect damaged frameworkConstruct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframesComplete drywall projectsClean up assigned job sites; may be doing a days worth of work on different job sitesMay be traveling to more than one job site per dayKeep equipment clean and organized in the shop and in the vehicleResponsible for unloading trash and materials in assigned areasCheck work throughout the project to ensure it is up to code and specificationsComplete assigned jobs within budget and on timeAssist mitigation department with board ups and tarping roofsComplete jobs with mitigation department as requestedResponsible for recording your time and coding it to the appropriate jobsOther duties as assignedCompetency Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of carpentry skillsKnowledge of finish carpentry, framing, structural work, drywall, and trim carpentryKnowledge of technology (iPhone, iPad)Customer Service SkillsCommunication skills via phone and face to faceMath skills in order to accurately measure materials and budget materials within estimatesMechanical skills to work with various tools and machinesCritical Thinking skillsAbility to learn and operate our primary operating system : RMS,Ability to work safely with hand and power toolsAbility to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to faceAbility to work independentlyAbility to work in a team of TechniciansAbility to work within hazardous environments safelyAbility to maintain an acceptable Background Check and Motor Vehicle Record CheckAbility to operate a company vehicle safelyAbility to represent the company culture through our Truth, Values, Vision, Mission, and 10 Serving BasicsRequired Education and Experience :
High School Diploma or GED required5 plus years experience in the construction / repair industry as a Tradesman / CarpenterPreferred Education and Experience :
7 plus years experience in finish carpentry workPhysical Requirement
