POSITION: Full-time Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS)
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field.
· Ability to train staff.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in computer skills.
· Knowledge of services for people with DD regulations in relation to residential care, interdisciplinary process, and quality assurance practices.
· 1 year experience with Developmentally Disable.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participate in staff, clinical meetings; provide input to the program evaluation and development.
· Functions as an interdisciplinary team member and assures compliance with all applicable Residential and Agency standards, policies, and practices.
· Develop new or strengthen existing adaptive behaviors and modify maladaptive behaviors through written behavior management plans.
· Attend monthly Human Rights Committee meeting.
· Provides in-service training and support to Direct Support Professional, clinical team, and management staff, related to psychological services.
· Attends and participates in all case reviews where a consumer has behavior problems/goals/plan.
· Writes quarterly, semi and annual progress report related to consumer’s behaviors/A.B.C. documentation.
· Review outcome performance records on consumers with behavior goals/plan or any active intervention during the month.
· Write the consumer’s behavioral progress on referral/consultation form for each Psych visit.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
