Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist ophthalmologists in providing high-quality eye care to patients. You will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and ophthalmology, along with excellent communication skills. Experience is helpful but will train. Final salary offer will be determined by level of experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary eye examinations and take patient histories.
  • Measure and record vital signs as needed.
  • Assist in the administration of diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Maintain and update patient medical records using electronic health records.
  • Provide education to patients regarding eye health and treatment options.
  • Ensure the clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Skills

  • Proficient in medical terminology related to ophthalmology.
  • Experience with electronc medical records systems.
  • Ability to measure vital signs accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
  • Knowledge of clinic operations and procedures within an ophthalmology setting.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Prior experience helpful , but will train

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
