Overview
Director, Workday Applications. This is a Direct Hire role that is Remote. Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Workday Implementation to lead a big bang, enterprise-wide Workday deployment across our hospital system. This high-impact role will oversee the implementation of all Workday modules-including HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, Payroll, and Security-ensuring a seamless and efficient transition.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive hospital IT and Workday implementation experience, proven success in large-scale ERP transformations, and strong leadership skills to manage both internal teams and external Workday implementation partners. This role requires expertise in project strategy, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and governance to drive a successful deployment.
What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
- 10 years of ERP implementation experience, with at least 2 years leading Workday implementations in a hospital or healthcare system.
- Extensive experience implementing all Workday modules (HCM, Finance, Supply Chain, Payroll, Time Tracking, and Security).
- Proven ability to lead a large-scale, big bang Workday deployment in a complex hospital environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Deep understanding of hospital operations, compliance, and IT best practices.
- Expertise in Workday integrations, reporting, data governance, and security frameworks.
- Experience managing large project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong project management and change management skills, with the ability to drive adoption and minimize disruption.
- Workday certifications in multiple modules are strongly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience presenting to
- Lead the hospital-wide Workday implementation, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
- Oversee and manage all Workday modules, ensuring integration and optimization across departments.
- Partner with hospital leadership, IT, HR, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align business processes with Workday capabilities.
- Manage third-party Workday implementation partners, system integrators, and vendors, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Establish and maintain project governance, risk management, and change management frameworks to ensure a smooth transition.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive deployment plan, including testing, training, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Lead a team of Workday analysts, developers, and administrators, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Stay current with Workday product updates and enhancements, advising on potential improvements post-implementation.
