Job Description
Summary/objective
The General Laborer will help process metals and materials along with assist in the organization/cleanliness of the yard and warehouse.
Essential functions
- Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area
- Load and unload trucks
- Sort different metals and wire
- Greet customers and help unload customer materials
- Working as a team
- Working outside in all seasons
- Drain and process cars
- Dismount tires
- Maintain scrap pile
Competencies
- Thorough understanding of yard and shop policies and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Work environment
- Inside / Outside
- Fast paced
Physical demands
- Must be able to complete various activities in the yard and shop that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
Required education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid drivers license required
- Background check required
Hours:
- Monday-Saturday; 8-5:00pm, Overtime Required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
