Responsibilities
- Install various types of flooring, including tile, hardwood, and laminate, ensuring precise measurements and cuts.
- Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old flooring, repairing subfloors, and applying necessary underlayment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting flooring materials.
- Perform drywall repairs as needed to ensure a seamless finish.
- Apply caulking around edges and fixtures for a polished look.
- Install fixtures such as baseboards and trim to complete the flooring project.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on the construction site throughout the installation process.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing and restoration to enhance the longevity of installed floors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or in a related construction role.
- Familiarity with various flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring installation.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
