Job Title: Termite/Sentricon Technician

Job Summary:
The Termite/Sentricon Technician is responsible for the inspection, treatment, and prevention of termite infestations using the Sentricon system and other methods. This role involves both residential and commercial properties. The technician will maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure the effective application of termite control solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Termite Inspections:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify signs of termite activity and potential risk areas.
  • Use specialized equipment to detect termite presence and assess the extent of infestation.

2. Sentricon System Installation & Maintenance:
  • Install Sentricon baiting systems around the perimeter of properties.
  • Regularly monitor and maintain these systems to ensure effectiveness.
  • Replace bait stations as needed and document all maintenance activities.

3. Termite Treatments:
  • Apply liquid termiticides (pre-treatment) and other treatments as required by the situation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations during application.

4. Customer Communication:
  • Clearly explain the inspection findings and recommended treatments to customers.
  • Provide detailed reports and answer any questions regarding termite control processes.
  • Educate customers on preventive measures and ongoing maintenance to prevent future infestations.

5. Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, treatments, and customer interactions.

  • Submit required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.

6. Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.

  • Report any issues with equipment to the supervisor and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.

7. Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices in termite control.

8. Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other technicians and team members to coordinate efforts and share knowledge.

  • Support the team in achieving company goals and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred.

  • Certification in termite control and Sentricon system usage (or willingness to obtain).

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces and attics.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
