Responsibilities
- Assess and treat students with minor illnesses and injuries.
- Provide health education and promote healthy behaviors.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
- Collaborate with campus departments to support health initiatives.
- Develop and implement health programs, screenings, and wellness events.
- Provide guidance and support for students with chronic conditions or mental health concerns.
- Help maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure a clean and safe clinical environment.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience (experience in college health, urgent care, or primary care preferred).
- Phlebotomy skills strongly preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse student population.
- Ability to work with a broad range of diverse individuals and groups to form a safe and inclusive campus community.
- Knowledge of public health principles, student wellness, and campus health trends.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
