What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Paulding Care Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation?
We are looking to hire a Full-Time Maintenance Technician.
In this role you would be responsible for the operation, routine servicing, and care of a wide variety of specialized equipment.
Provides safe and efficient execution of work as scheduled, providing problem analysis for equipment history, and appropriate action in response to emergencies.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Help in maintaining the grounds and outdoor areas, including snow removal and landscaping tasks.
- Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance director to ensure the overall upkeep of the nursing home.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
- Report any maintenance concerns or issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, change filters on HVAC equipment, carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good time management and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach
- Physical stamina and the ability to go up and down stairs, lift and move heavy objects
- Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
