What you’ll do as an Operator Telecom Construction Equipment
You will safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer- You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
- You will develop and maintain a bore schedule
- You will be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
- You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis
- JSA prior to starting construction
- You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic.

What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
- 5 year experience running heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience with drill set up and design processes, is preferred
Additional qualifications
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
- Able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
- eperienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
- Able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities - You may have experience with drill set up and design processes –
- Able to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions
- Able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects –
- Have previous construction or utility construction experience Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens.
- Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required.
- The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate.
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
- Occasionally: work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse
Pay Range: The Operator Telecom Construction Equipment hourly wage range is $18.00 - $26.00/hr, depending on experience.
