Who You Are:
- You have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- You have proficiency of understanding in payroll practices and procedures
- You’ve got excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You are proficient with payroll software and the ability to learn new software
- You are experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- You’ve demonstrated the ability to function well in a highpaced and at times stressful environment
- You have a demonstrated track record of keeping information confidential
What You Will Bring, Do, and Own:
- Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates by meeting all deadlines
- Maintain client employee payroll records
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
- Learn new software and systems as necessary, and assist in creating appropriate procedures and trainings to educate employees as needed
- Maintain a billable percentage of 75% and realization of 90% each quarter
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education You Will Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources, or related field preferred
- One to two years of experience in payroll processing
