What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barber / Hairstylist position at Paulie's Professional Barber Shop?
Our shop is looking for a new Barber to join our team. You must have a current license to cut hair and have completed a barber training program. While we focus on men's hairstyles, you should be comfortable using a variety of hairstyling techniques for different customers. You must have strong communication and customer service skills; we want all of our customers to enjoy being in our barbershop and leave satisfied with their cut so that they become regular customers.
Barber Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet clients as they arrive and offer them refreshments
- Prep clients for their haircut and ask what type of styling they want
- Cut and style clients' hair to their specifications
- Engage in friendly conversation with clients
- Keep your station, tools, and equipment sanitized and in good condition
- Ensure you have the proper products in stock for future clients
Barber Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Barber or hairstylist license
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time-management abilities
- Attention to detail
