Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Immunotherapy Injectionist to administer allergy injections in a clinical setting. This role involves strictly following established protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort. The position offers a fixed schedule, set pay, and no opportunities for advancement within the organization. This job would be a perfect fit for a recently retired nurse, a Phlebotomist or a recently Certified Medical Assistant wanting to gain solid experience administering shots.
Responsibilities:
- Administer allergy immunotherapy injections as per physician orders and established guidelines.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions post-injection and provide appropriate intervention if necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of injections given and patient responses.
- Educate patients on injection schedules, possible reactions, and post-injection care.
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist with inventory management of immunotherapy supplies and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified or licensed medical professional (e.g., LPN, RN, MA, or other relevant credential).
- Experience with immunotherapy or allergy injections preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
