What are the responsibilities and job description for the 25-26 Assistant Band Director position at Pauls Valley Public Schools?
Pauls Valley Public Schools is accepting applications for an Assistant Band Director for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities will be determined by the strengths of the candidate, however they may include:
- Directing a JH Grade Band
- Assisting with High School Marching Band
- Assisting with High School Symphonic Band
- Assisting with HS Jazz Band
- Team teaching 5th Grade Beginning Band.
- Team teaching an applied music class.
Woodwind expertise preferred, but we are searching for the best over-all candidate for our program. All should apply regardless of primary instrument.
The Pauls Valley Band program, The Pride of the Valley, has a strong tradition of excellence with a supportive administration, community, and active band booster organization. We are a small rural district just 30 minutes south of Norman on I-35. The HS Band just received its 4th consecutive Sweepstakes, the 8th in 11 years, and the JH Band just received the Outstanding Achievement Award for the 2nd time in program history. We consistently take 60 to 70 students yearly to district solo and ensemble contest, and this year qualified 32 events to State Solo and Ensemble.
