What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Shop Tech position at Paun Construction, Inc?
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain construction tools and equipment
- Perform welding, grinding, and basic fabrication tasks
- Set up and prepare equipment for field use
- Track and manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
- Stock building materials and shop parts
- Handle basic vehicle maintenance, including tire checks and fluid levels
- Pick up and deliver equipment, tools, and materials as needed
- Load and offload trucks efficiently and safely
- Conduct preventative maintenance (greasing, washing, inspections) on equipment
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop
- Repair small engines and operate pressure washing equipment
- Perform general labor duties and assist team members as assigned
Qualifications:
- Good driving record and valid driver's license
- General shop knowledge preferred
- CDL is a plus not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
