Director of Revenue & Margin Accounting (Manufacturing Industry)

Role Overview: The Director of Revenue & Margin Accounting will play a crucial role in overseeing core accounting functions related to manufacturing, inventory valuation, revenue, and margin analysis. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance and leads a team of two accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team consisting of a Staff Accountant (focused on costing/manufacturing) and a Senior Accountant (focused on revenue/margin)
• Partner with operations and sales teams to provide valuable financial insights and support
• Drive process improvements and optimize existing procedures
• Participate in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics, transitioning from legacy systems
• Oversee manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, and revenue recognition
• Contribute to strategic decision-making through detailed margin analysis
• Collaborate with other accounting directors to ensure seamless departmental integration

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 7 years of accounting experience
• Experience managing at least two direct reports
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems
• Track record of process improvement and change management
• Strong business partnership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or CPA
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar modern ERP systems
• Manufacturing or beverage industry experience
• Cost accounting knowledge (though not required if candidate demonstrates strong accounting fundamentals)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $140,000 - $165,000
• Annual Bonus: 5%
