Job Description
This role supports production processes for high-performance aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with advanced materials and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production processes with respect to product and process clarification
- Develop and implement production processes, inspection criteria, and testing procedures that ensure product quality
- Design and implement tooling and continuous improvements for aerospace manufacturing processes
- Maintain engineering product documentation, drawings, and electronic ERP system (Epicor)
- Manage Bill of Operations (BOO) and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Collaborate with Design Engineers and customers to understand product and tooling requirements
- Contribute to efforts to secure and protect the intellectual property of the business
- Support relationships with internal and external stakeholders through strong communication
- Lead continuous improvement projects for aerospace products and/or processes
- Evaluate customer returned goods and implement necessary corrective actions
- Perform Materials Review Board (MRB) authority for designated products
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering (or similar degree)
- Experience with elastomeric materials preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Willingsness to take a hands-on approach to learn fabrication processes
