TOP PRIORITY ROLE : Our client is urgently seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to join their team in Itasca, IL. This role requires a true "jack of all trades" who will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor implementing and optimizing processes. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and implementation, bringing SolidWorks designs to life through direct, hands-on work with the manufacturing equipment and processes.
Key Responsibilities 📋
- Spend substantial time on the manufacturing floor implementing and optimizing processes
- Design and develop manufacturing processes using SolidWorks and see them through to implementation
- Take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues independently
- Build and modify machines and equipment based on designs and requirements
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflow
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Develop and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes
- Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment
