About the Role :
Pave Talent is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join an industry-leading personal care contract manufacturer. This position is on-site in Ottawa, Illinois and will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and global regulations, particularly in light of the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MOCRA) . This is a unique opportunity to impact regulatory strategy in a company specializing in hair care, skincare, and OTC (Over-the-Counter) products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Regulatory Documentation & Compliance : Oversee the creation and maintenance of regulatory files, supporting product safety and compliance with FDA, EPA , and emerging state regulations (e.g., Californias Prop 65, 1,4-Dioxane in NY, lead limits in WA).
- Labeling and Ingredient Management : Ensure compliance in labeling and quantitative quality formulas (QQFs), and manage ingredient lists, adhering to MOCRA and other federal / state standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and external partners to align on regulatory strategies and stay current with changing guidelines.
- FDA Filings : Prepare and submit regulatory filings for new OTC and cosmetic products to facilitate market entry and updates.
