Integrated Polymer Solutions is seeking a Cost Accountant / Sr. Accountant is responsible for financial accounting, analysis and reporting as a key member of the corporate team. Provides leadership for corporate and operational financial functions including cost accounting, month end close, treasury, audit, and tax.

Job Responsibilities :
- Meet month end close deadlines, generating various journal entries, analysis and reconciliations.
- Work with the materials and warehouse departments to ensure appropriate product costing.
- Ensures the accuracy of inventory through monitoring and review of regular cycle counts, annual physical inventory, periodic review of work-in-progress (WIP) and regular analysis of required reserves at the business units.
- Create weekly reports with operational metrics for timely decision making.
- Reconcile inventory transactions related to perpetual inventory (RM, WIP, FG) and prepare journal entries to reflect these transactions monthly.
- Monitor and update master data records for standard costing and absorption.
- Perform monthly analysis of COGS and gross margin results by product line with manufacturing orders summary analysis.
- Assist operations and management on special projects to deliver financial analytic results and identify profit improvement recommendations.
- Work with all functional areas to understand costs and variances to assist in providing detailed analysis related to COGS, labor / overhead / materials.
- Analyze and summarize overhead against budget, forecasts, and prior results to management.
- Works closely with IT on ERP implementations, software upgrades, and business requirements. Contributes process management expertise to develop, maintain and efficiently capture data to streamline reporting, minimize requirements for ad hoc reporting and maximize time for analyses.

- Review monthly expenses for proper classification when posted to the Income Statement.
- Update internal operations and accrual reports.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Fluctuation variance analysis in the Income Statement
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for month-end close and recommend any necessary adjusting journal entries.
- Support year end financial audit and other external audits.
- Proactive in wanting to assist Accounting Manager and Plant Controller with projects.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize with changing situations.
