The Skilled Laborer (Concrete Finisher) will be on a team of 6 – 8 with a Foreman to complete the designated concrete project(s). The Skilled Laborer (Concrete Finisher) will be responsible for laying and tying rebar, forming, edging, smoothing out and finishing the concrete. Load and unload materials at the beginning and end of day. The Skilled Laborer will be responsible for power washing their equipment daily, cleaning their company vehicle, submit work orders on equipment as needed, and do job costing for the jobs worked that day.
Responsibilities:
- Customer-service skills to communicate with the Forman, crew and administration to develop a positive working relationship.
- Driving the crew to and from the job with the company vehicle
- Laying and tying rebar
- Drilling holes in concrete, rebars or dowels
- Using lumber to form curbs and flatwork for each project
- Edging, smoothing out and finishing the concrete
- Follow proper concrete procedures
- Load and unload materials at the beginning and end of day
- Complete all preparation and clean up responsibilities before and after project completion
- Time-management skills to ensure the job is completed on time so that the next phase can start.
- Maintain vehicles and equipment assigned to you, by keeping it clean, checking fluids etc.
- Create work orders for any necessary maintenance and/or repairs.
- May be required to work evenings and weekends, depending on business needs.
- May need to travel out of town on occasion for projects, depending on business needs.
- Attending monthly safety meetings.
Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years of experience handling concrete
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Able to bend down and up for periods of time
- Reliable form of transportation
- Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
- Must have own tools (rubber boots, floats, reel and pliers, satchel for small tools like hammer, measuring tape, sludge hammer)
- Willingness to travel out of town up to 50%
- Be willing to work unpredictable weather conditions
- Willing to work evenings and weekends (on occasion)
- A plus if you can read plans, shoot grades, read elevations on survey stakes.

Pay Range $21 - $24 - this pay range is depending on experience and credentials
