Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated General Labor Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved with asphalt paving, concrete work, sealcoating, crack sealing, and pothole patching.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Inspecting vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Safely operating a variety of asphalt construction and maintenance equipment and tools
- Operating company vehicles to and from job sites
- Performing general labor duties involved with asphalt paving, concrete work, sealcoating, crack sealing, and pothole patching
- Working within a team environment
Job Requirements:
- A Class B CDL License is required, a Class A license is preferred
- Air brakes and tanker endorsement is a plus
- A good driving and safety record
- The ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, bend, shovel, rake, and dig for long periods
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials
- The ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
- Ability to work in heat, cold, rain, and dusty environments
- Working long shifts with non-standard break times
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Pass pre-employment physical with 50 lb. lift test
