Responsibilities RN Unit Manager/Infection Control:
- Serve as the RN Unit Manager, overseeing the nursing care provided to residents on the assigned unit.
- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, including training, supervision, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as the Infection Control Coordinator, implementing and maintaining effective infection prevention and control programs.
- Monitor and investigate infections within the facility, analyzing trends and implementing interventions to prevent the spread of infections.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other department heads to develop and implement infection control policies and procedures.
- Educate staff on infection control practices and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of infection control activities.
Qualifications RN Unit Manager/Infection Control:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio.
- Proven experience in nursing leadership, with a focus on infection control in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to infection control in healthcare facilities.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
