IT Operations Analyst II

Job Title:

• IT Analyst II (HELPS)
  • Full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month probationary, Genesee County Civil Service Position

Job Description: This IT Operations position carries with it responsibilities for completing most IT Operations tasks using their individual skills, judgment, and initiative. Additionally, the incumbent assists with organizational support functions. The incumbent is expected to be a team leader who manages larger projects involving several departments and agencies/ vendors and provides input to large programs. He/she assists with the planning of projects and/or departmental plans and IT directions. The work is done under the direct supervision of Curriculum and Instructional Technology. Participates in employee performance evaluations. Is expected to supervise small groups. Does related work as required. For a more detailed description, see this link.

Salary:

• Commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Qualifications:

EITHER:

A. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field, with three (3) years of IT experience, two (2) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, preferably in an educational setting;

OR

B. Possession of an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or a related field, with five (5) years of IT experience, two (2) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, preferably in an educational setting;

OR

C. Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent and seven (7) years of IT experience, two (2) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, preferably in an educational setting;

OR

D. An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits above.
